Based on a recent update to FAQ #30 and our recent discovery that you cannot request your data from Epiq, we’ve created the following matrix and chart to help you figure out what category you fall into and what your next steps may be:
You do not need to withdraw your previous petition if you submit a new one—the two will be merged.
Changes to FAQ #30
FAQ #30 on https://backpageremission.com was recently updated to indicate that changing a claim requires filing a new petition.
To our knowledge, no notification was issued regarding this change, nor does the FAQ page indicate that it was updated. Archived versions of the website available through the Wayback Machine show when this change was made.
